ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.
Proceedings, August Term, 1888.
The following fiduciary accounts were confirmed: Audits of Wm. H. A. Hopkins estate; orphan accounts, Eva Brittingham and Henry O. Rue.
Sylvanus W. Russell qualified as guardian of Mary and Thomas Hinman, orphans of Geo. W. T. Hinman, decd. James W. B. Mears qualified as administrator with will annexed of Gillet B. Mears, deceased.
Inspectors of oysters qualified as follows; Sam'l J. Davis for 1st and 2nd district; James T. Weaver 6th district; C. P. Finney, 8th district; Raymond R. Hutchinson, 9th district.
Orders on county treasurer in road and bridge matters were entered as follows; For Benjamin F. Young, $9.75; James F. Mason, $3.16; Bennett Fentress assignee, $4; John Lawrence, $3; John W. Hyslop and Luther M. Boggs, $10 each; Jas. T. Justice, $8.88; Samuel Trader, $5; W. T. Parks, Jr., $8; D. F. White & Bros., $8.32.
James C. Boggs was appointed surveyor of roads in place of Luther M. Boggs resigned; Sewell H. Bayly in place of Samuel Trader, resigned; Chas. C. Dix in place of Wm. H. Rew, resigned.
Orders to buy material to repair public bridges and roads were entered for the following surveyors: Benjamin F. Young, William T. Mason, Abel T. James, Thomas McCready, Louis F. Hinman, W. T. Parkes, Jr., William Russell of Wm. and Geo. W. Glenn.
Order to distribute estate of Edmund Stant without refunding bond being given by distributees.
Last will of Elizabeth B. Beach was proved and Upshur T. Bradford qualified as administrator, c. t. a.
L. James Gunter qualified as administrator of Henry Floyd, deceased.
Caleb Watson and others vs. Jesse Bowden (complaint of unlawful detainer). Jury empanelled and not agreeing, discharged and cause continued until 3rd day of next term for another trial.
Upon petition of John T. Powell and others for a public road. Order approving road and certifying expenditure needed to Board of Supervisors.
Ex parte: Wm. H. Harmon's administrators. Order directing payment of cost, certain debts due mother of infants and deposit in Marine bank.
Stanley J. Lewis vs. John Miller and wife (on attachments.) Attachment returned levied by constable and cause docketed.
Ex parte: petition of Mary Eliza. Mears, guardian. Order directing annual expenditure for three years forward and payment of costs.
