Proceedings, September Term, 1896.

Authority to celebrate the rites of matrimony was granted to Rev. Robert Werner Bagwell, of Baptist Church.

Inquest over William T. Thornton was returned to court and filed.

Authority to celebrate rites of matrimony was granted to Rev. A. L. Martin, of A. M. E. Church.

Spencer J. Drummond qualified as administrator of Robert S. Drummond; Edward L. Anderson as administrator, d.b.n., of Edward W. Anderson; Wm. T. Thornton, Jr., as administrator of William T. Thornton; and Leonard C. Mears, as administrator of George Turlington, colored.

Estate of Sally J. Lewis was committed to the hands of John H. Wise, sheriff, for administration.

Thomas E. Fletcher qualified as guardian of his son, Mallory L. Fletcher, and Spencer J. Drummond, as guardian of Robert T. J., Emma S., and Hall K. Drummond, orphans of Robert S. Drummond, deceased.

Last will of Dr. F. C. A. Kellam Sr. was proved and ordered to be recorded.

Accounts against commonwealth in criminal and lunacy cases were allowed as follows: A. S. Taylor, J.P., $7; Levi R. Boggs, J.P., $6; Thos. G. Clayton, J.P., $5.50; L. Thomas Phillips, J.P., $9; Jos. C. Wescott, constable, $51.37; jailor, $52.95 and $10.50.

Following fiduciary accounts were confirmed and ordered to be recorded: Lewis H. Crockett and wife's trust account; audits of estates of Wm. T. Sample, William J. Daisey, John R. Downing and Susan A. Martin; Manie Twyford's account as legatee of Elizabeth Hickman.

Orphan accounts of Ferdie L., Carson R., Sarah F., and Daisey Ward (Edwin T. Powell, guardian), Lorenzo D., Sarah W., and Amie L. Hinman (Benj. T. Johnson guardian); Marion Hall, Manly W. Window, Emma Mabel Selby and same as legatee of John O. Selby, and Claude Kelly.

Ex parte: Petition of William H. Harmon's administrator. Order for payment of present year's taxes, costs and amounts due Jas. E. W. Figgs, as guardian of Annie L., and William H. Harmon.

Ex parte: Petition of Judson R. Collins, late guardian. Order for payment of costs and an annual amount to Lavinia W. Collins, for maintenance, support and education of Judson R. Collins.

Ex parte: Petition of Jno. Alfred Mapp's guardian. Order for payment of costs and a monthly allowance to Margaret Snead for maintenance &c., of Jas. Alfred Mapp.

Ex parte: Petition of George S. Hoffman's late guardian. Report of John A. Bundick filed, order confirming same and removing cause from docket.
