ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, January Term, 1895.

The following fiduciary accounts were confirmed and ordered to be recorded: Trust accounts of John H. Gray, John H. Shield and wife, Major W. Pilchard and wife and William L. Watson, committee of Arthur Watson; orphan accounts of Orin F., Robert J., and Catharine C. Taylor, William C., Lloyd W., Harry L., Charles E. and Emma May Gilden, Ella and James G. Fox, Harry Thompson, Wm. Bagwell and Mary Eliza Mears; audit of estates of James H. Parramore, Wm. J. Daisey, Wm. E. Gilden and Arthur R. Mears.

Henry F. Powell qualified as notary public for county of Accomac.

E. L. Anderson qualified as administrator of the estate of his mother, Estella F. Anderson, deceased.

Last will of John B. Floyd was proved and G. Fred Floyd qualified as executor.

Thomas T. Taylor qualified as guardian of Leonard A. and Augustus C. Kellam, orphans of William C. Hall, deceased.

Upon petition of Edward T. Lang, surveyor of road for election district of Temperanceville. Order confirming report of viewers and directing Joseph Conquest and Erastus Chesser to remove their encroachments upon public road and for recovery by the county of costs and expenses.

Order entered authorizing Wm. P. Ward to assign his bar room and retail liquor license to Moses L. Nettles at Pungoteague.

A special grand jury was empanelled and returned indictments as follows: one for arson, one for bigamy, one for entering a dwelling house with intent to commit larceny, one for entering a storehouse with intent to commit larceny, one for petit larceny, one for shooting along public road, and one for assault and battery -- and ignored one for petit larceny and one for trespass.

Ex parte: Petition of Wilfred Hall's &c's late guardian. Order entered authorizing Jas. H. Fletcher Jr., present guardian to withdraw from Marine Bank the funds of his wards therein on deposit.

Accounts against Commonwealth in criminal and lunacy matters were entered as follows: For Levi R. Boggs, J.P., $1.50; G. T. Scarburgh, M.D., $3.75 and $4.50; S. C. Melson, jailer, $6 and $70.95.

Ex parte: Petition of W. James Mapp's late guardian (Walter D. Lewis). Petition filed, order for payment of cost and for said late guardian to loan out funds of his said ward or deposit same in Marine Bank on interest account.

Horace Jubilee and Thomas Downing were discharged from jail, having served their respective terms and being unable to pay fine and costs for which they were detained.

The reports for sale of delinquent lands for 1889, 1890, 1891 and 1892 made by E. T. Powell, county treasurer, on 31st day of December, 1894, were returned to the court, examined and confirmed.

Emily J. Kelly vs. D. F. White, (upon complaint of unlawful detainer). Verdict and judgment for plaintiff and writ of possession awarded.

Littleton Shield paid into court $10.40, commonwealth's costs in proceedings against him for misdemeanor.

Commonwealth vs. Littleton Bell, (on two indictments), one for entering a dwelling, the other for entering a storehouse in the night time, with intent to commit larceny. Defendant tried on each indictment, convicted and sentenced for each offense to two years in penitentiary.

Commonwealth vs. W. A. Bloxom, (on indictment for selling liquor on Sunday). This cause was dismissed for reasons appearing to the court.

Petition of W. J. LeCato and others for a public road -- Buzzard Hill road. Petition filed and order appointing viewers.

The reports of the processions for all of the precincts of the county were returned to court except 3d, 5th and 13th of Accomac Parish, confirmed and ordered to be recorded and orders were entered for the payment of the processions by the county treasurer. The reports of 3d, 5th and 13th precincts of Accomac Parish will be examined at the next term of the court if made out and returned in due form and properly signed.
