ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

May Term.

Commonwealth vs. Daniel Bowden (of Parker,) indicted for assault and battery -- verdict, guilty and fined $5 and costs.

Commonwealth vs. Thos. Bowden (of Parker,) indicted for assault and battery. Nolle prosequi entered, at suggestion of Commonwealth's attorney.

Commonwealth vs. George Twyford, indicted for "assault with intent to maim &c." -- verdict, not guilty.

Commonwealth vs. Wm. H. Lang, indicted for "an attempt to impede public justice" verdict, not guilty.

Alma J. Read vs. Isaac Ulman -- "unlawful detainer" verdict for plaintiff.

In case of Commonwealth vs. schooner, Martin E. Freeman, sheriff reported sale and was ordered to pay costs of proceeding of forfeiture, pro rata, out of proceeds of sale.

The following liquor licenses were granted for Pungoteague District -- bar room and retail; Alfred S. Bull, Fair Oaks; Phillips & Shield, Pungoteague; bar room, Geo. C. Walker & Bros., Pungoteague; John W. Bradford, Locustmount; Edward T. Burton, Head of Bradford's Neck; Jacob & Doughty and James Harmon, Belle Haven; Geo S. West, Craddockville; Wm. C. West, Bull Branch -- ordinary, Alfred S. Kellam, Wachapreague City and Geo E. Winder, Pungoteague.

The application of Geo. C. Walker, for a bar room license at Hoffman's Wharf was refused, on the ground, that it was not a suitable place for the sale of intoxicating liquors.
