ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, April Term, 1897.

Upon petition of Jno. A. M. Whealton and others for a public road. Report of viewers returned, petition dismissed, cost to be borne by the county.

Upon petition of John F. Nelson, Jr., and others for a public road. Recertified to the Board of Supervisors.

Upon petition of Levin R. Lewis and others for a public road. Application approved and certified to the Board of Supervisors.

Accounts against Commonwealth in criminal and lunacy cases were allowed as follows: Levi R. Boggs, J.P., $1; J. C. Wescott, constable, $9.80; Heze Fitzgerald, guard, $43.20.

James C. Doughty qualified as guardian of John W., Virginia G., Clarence E., and Annie E. Bayly, orphans of William Bayly, deceased.

Levi Bagwell qualified as guardian of Alice Major, orphan of Jesse Major, deceased.

Patrick W. Kilmon qualified as guardian of his two children, Bertie E., and Broaddy G. Kilmon.

Estates of Wm. B. Moffitt and Louis J. Lankford, deceased, were committed to John H. Wise, sheriff, for administration

Certificate was granted to Albert J. Morse for obtaining license to manufacture oil or manure from fish known as alewives or menhaden.

Certificate to obtain license were granted to Albert J. Morse and "The Chesapeake Navigation and Manufacturing Co." to catch fish to be manufactured into oil, &c.

Authority to celebrate the rites of matrimony was granted to Franklin T. Johnson, colored, of M. E. Church.

Ex parte: Petition of William Pettitt's late guardian. Order for check on bank to pay costs, &c., and sufficient to defray William Pettit's share of expenses of partition suit of his father's land.

Following fiduciary accounts were confirmed: Audits of estates of Edward Kilmon, William T. Gardner and James H. Grinnalds -- orphan accounts of Wilford, Lena and Robert Hall; John, Teackle and Walter Belote; Samuel J. Turner; Augustus and Leonard C. Kelly and Maggie L. Mister -- two trust accounts of John A. Chambers.

Ex parte: William Jas. Mapp's late guardian. Report of late guardian filed, order for payment of costs, taxes and to deposit balance in hand in Marine Bank.
