ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings at September Term, 1882.

A regular grand jury empanelled: returned the following indictments, to-wit. Noah Drummond, disturbing religious worship; Wm. Bayly, disturbing religious worship; Erastus J. Johnson, et als., unlawfully hauling seine; Geo. Williams, et als., unlawfully hauling seine; Tobias Bayley, carrying a pistol concealed; Elijah Jones, grand larceny; Thomas Harrison, assault and battery; and James Thornes, assault and battery. True Bills.

A special grand jury, empaneled, returned the following indictments, to-wit, James Burton, wilfull trespass; a true bill; Charles K. Taylor, murder; not a true bill.

Deed from Wm. S. Kellam, &c., to Wm. L. H. Twyford, ordered to be recorded.

Deed from Wm. L. H. Twyford to John Neely, trustee for Thomas Lilliston, ordered to be recorded.

The following fiduciary accounts were confirmed: Doughty & Turlington's trust account; James C. Adams' audit; Abel T. Doughty's audit; Arthur R. Mears' orphan account; Grace L. Bundick, &c.'s orphan accounts; James P. Ross' orphan account, and Ellen A. Payne's (Timmons) orphan account.

Order exempting James Kelly from road duty.

Account of Wm. L. Nock, constable certified.

Authority to celebrate the rites granted Rev. Felix Woods.

Bar room license of Arthur P. Kellam transferred to Francis E. Kellam.

Report as to treasurer's bond filed by commissioner of accounts.

Joseph W. Mears qualified as guardian of Amelia T. Mister.

Edward T. Lang, surveyor of road, ordered to repair bridge near Temperanceville.

Rules against Charles Babbitt, Dan'l J. Whealton and Selathiel. E. Matthews, absent grand jurors, awarded and afterwards, for cause shown to the court, they were discharged.

John J. Blackstone qualified as admr. of Henry T. White.

Orders were entered on county in road and bridge expenses, &c., as follows: Jos. W. Matthews for $350; John D. Parsons and Edward T. White, each $3; Dr. George T. Scarburgh, $2; and Wm. J. Ayres and Wm. H. Parker, Jr., each $1.

Will of Geo. W. Wilkins proved and ordered to be recorded; and Wm. B. Wilkins qualified as executor.

Deed from John T. Fletcher to Sam'l J. Holding, ordered to be recorded.

The following reports of commissioners in the matter of Peninsula railroad company, were confirmed and ordered to be recorded, to-wit: John T. Jones' land to be taken; Wm. S. Matthews and wife, et als; Levin A. Dix, et als; David Frank White, et als; Jas. Henry West; Nathaniel J. W. LeCato, et als; Upshur B. Quinby and wife (two reports); Sidney Hancock; Joseph G. Belote: Thos. C. Pitts and wife and John S. Martin.

The exceptions were sustained to reports of commissioners in matter of Peninsula railroad company, and new commissioners appointed in the following cases; Sally E. Slocomb, Joseph G. Belote, (two cases); John P. McMath; James H. Belote, James Belote and Elizabeth Ross, and John S. Martin.

The three reports in the above matter as to John Brittingham's land were continued by consent.

The regular grand jury terms for county court after the present year will be March and October instead of March and September, as heretofore.
