ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, February Term, 1897.

Following fiduciary accounts confirmed: Audits of estates of Mary B. Hall, James Mason of M., Charles H. Mason, William E. Jacob and Catharine W. P. Poulson; orphan accounts of Kate Stephens, John S., Mabel B., Georgie A., Manie D., and Pearl B. McMath, Catharine C., Robert J., and Orin F. Taylor; George C. Mapp and wife's trust account and Benjamin H. Kelso and wife's trust account.

Leah A. Gaskins estate was committed to John H. Wise, sheriff, for administration.

L. Floyd Nock was substituted as trustee in place of William M. Custis in deed from Severn Wm. Gaskins and wife for benefit of George F. Parker, assignee.

Webb & Suttle, appellants, vs. Geo. T. Broughton, Parker Handy and Joseph Slocomb, appellees. These causes were continued by consent to first day of next August term.

The last will of Wm. R. Mapp was proved and Edward B. Finney qualified as executor.

The last will of Alfred Loffland was proved and Levi R. Boggs, one of the executors named, relinquished his right to qualify, and Dr. J. H. A. Loffland, the other executor named in the will, qualified as sub.

Albert Somers, alias Sey, was released from jail, having served his term and being unable to pay costs.

Bowden Clayton vs. John E. Hickman (on a warrant in detinue). Verdict for plaintiff, $10 and costs.

The survey and plat of lands sold for delinquent taxes for 1890 and 1891, standing in name of Mary F. Smith and purchased by Silverius C. Hall, were returned to court and filed.

Henry L. Crockett, administrator of Joseph A. Baker, deceased, executed a new bond in a larger penalty.

The last will of William B. Smith was proved and ordered to be recorded.

Accounts against Commonwealth in criminal and lunacy cases were allowed as follows: Emory Maffitt, J.P., $2.50; Thomas Truitt, constable, $12.65; Joseph C. Wescott, constable, $29.97; Dr. C. L. Harmanson, $2.50; Tankard G. Kellam, constable, $3.50, and jailer, $132.95.

Mrs. Thos. S. Byrd vs. N. Y. P. & N. R. R. Co. Verdict and judgment for plaintiff.

An assignment of homestead to the widow and minor children of Fred D. Jones in his real estate was returned to the court, confirmed and ordered to be recorded.

Frank C. Lewis, appellant, vs. Henry A. Lewis, appellee. Agreed dismissed.

John H. Mears, appellant, vs. E. C. Phillips, appellee, (on appeal). Continued until second day of next term and notice awarded against Wilmer Bell for failure to attend as witness.

Hodges Bros. vs. Wm. R. and F. C. Lewis, (on appeal). Dismissed at appellant's motion.

Ex parte: Florence M. Lewis' late guardian. Report of L. Floyd Nock, guardian, filed and order for payment of costs and deposit in Marine Bank.
