ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, March Term, 1892.

Following fiduciary accounts were confirmed and ordered to be recorded: Report as to the debts and demands against estate of John H. Ross, deceased; audits of estates of John T. Powell, William H. Grant and John P. McMath; orphan accounts of Margaret K. and Annie W. Turner, and Louis D. and Alonzo W. Heath.

Following fines were paid into court: By Emory Maffitt, J.P., $2, received of John Fenwick and James Pointer, for disturbing public peace; by Wm. T. Parks, J.P., $5, received of Oliver Barnes, and $2.50, received of E. A. Gummerson, for assault and battery.

George A. Edmonds qualified as administrator of Leroy S. Edmonds, deceased; A. S. Taylor as administrator of Jesse Drummond, deceased; James Barnes as administrator of Samuel Barnes, deceased; Patrick H. Conorton as administrator of Charles B. Crockett, deceased.

Certificate to obtain law license was entered in favor of Wm. A. P. Strang.

Inquests held by Wm. M. Taylor, J.P., and acting coroner, over Archie W. Dize, deceased, and James West, deceased, were returned and filed.

Barroom license was granted to Jackson T. Kellam at his house at Belle Haven.

A regular grand jury was empanelled and returned indictments, (true bills): One for housebreaking with intent to commit larceny, two for assault and battery, two for felonious dredging, one for petit larceny, one for unlawful trespass, and one for occupying a natural oyster rock and (not true bill): one for taking oysters unlawfully, one for assault and battery, nine for taking oysters feloniously, and one for obstructing the waters adjacent to landings.

Levin Booth and Henry Bowden, witnesses, showing sufficient reasons for their absence, rules against them were discharged.

Following accounts in lunacy and criminal cases were allowed, payable out of State treasury: Dr. J. T. Sledge, $5; Levin T. Phillips, $4; Thomas G. Clayton, (3 accounts) $2, $1 and $3; Thorogood B. Mason, $1.50; Wm. Somers, Daniel Byrd, Samuel J. Lilliston, James W. Martin, Henry T. Lankford, Edward T. Somers, $1 each; Isaac Somers, Littleton Trader and Frank P. Elijah Russell filed his annual report as surveyor of public roads in the district of the Islands.

Inspectors of oysters made report of collections &c., for quarter ending February 29th, 1892, as follows: Wm. J. Barnes, inspector of 5th district, collections, $481.61, due State, $433.45; J. C. Justice, inspector of 7th district, collections, $412.35, due State $371.12.

Ex parte: Susan A. and Marion Hall's guardian. Order authorizing guardian to expend ward's income for their maintenance, support and education.

Upon petition to repair road at Metcalf's branch. Report of viewers approved and referred to Board of Supervisors.

Report of commissioners assigning dower of widow of Levin R. Ayres, deceased, was returned, certified by court and ordered to be recorded.
