ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, July Term, 1882 -- Judge Thomas C. Parramore, Presiding.

Will of Carrie H. Rew was proven, and Wm. H. Rew, the executor named, qualified.

The respective estates of Nathaniel B. LeCato, deceased, and John Caulk, deceased, were committed to the sheriff for administration.

James H. Fletcher, Jr., qualified to practice the law in this court.

Accounts of James H. Bull and Samuel H. Baker, special constables, for services in criminal proceedings, were examined and allowed.

Order entered authorizing John Summers, Sr., surveyor of road precinct No. 19 of Metompkin District, to purchase certain material to repair bridges.

Orders on county treasurer for road services were entered for John R. Sturgis for $6, and James Gunter for $4.

James H. Mason was appointed surveyor of Road Precinct No. 17 of Lee district, vice Geo. Wellington Coard, resigned.

Upon application of the Peninsula railroad company, the following were the commissioners appointed to ascertain a just compensation to the owners of lands proposed to be taken by said company, to-wit; Jno. T. Fletcher, Samuel M. Fox, John T. James, Geo. W. Mason and Thomas L. Trower.

Order directing John D. Parsons and Edward T. White, commissioners, to view and report upon repairs of Jos. W. Matthews, contractor, made upon road precinct No. 27 of Atlantic district.

Petition filed by Archibald Annis, superintendent of the poor, to change public road at poor house, and viewers appointed.

Order removing from office Anne Mears, (now Anne Phillips) guard'n of Ella Walter Mears, on motion of James B. Bell, security.

Certificate granted Sommers Bros. & Co., to license to manufacture oil &c., alewives or menhaden.

Same to Sam'l Sommers, Jr., and Cornelius Minor, as the head of gangs using a seine for alewives or menhaden, for manufacturing into oil, &c.,

Thos. W. Blackstone, J. P. , paid into court $2.50, the fine imposed by him upon Joseph Penny for assault on John Custis.

The Commonwealth vs. Wm. T. Barnes et als., on indictment for permitting unlawful gambling at their house of entertainment; plea of guilty entered by defendants; the fine and costs, amounting to $115.17, paid into court; the bar room license of defendants declared forfeited; and defendants recognized for one year.

A bar room license was granted to Arthur P. Kellam, at Head of Bradford's Neck.

A bar room license of Geo. A. Fowler, Sycamore Turn, was transferred to Thos. U. Fowler.

Upshur B. Quinby qualified as adm. de bonis non of Dennis Clayton, Jr., deceased.

On petition of Geo. S. Miles and others for public road in Wallop's Neck, decision against opening the road entered, and petition dismissed, and judgment entered against petitioners for the costs incurred by the county.
