ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.
Proceedings March Term, 1901.
The last will and testament of Esther J. Selby, deceased, was proved and Solomon T. Johnson qualified as executor.
The last will and testament of Mary C. Rew, deceased, was proved and Mitchell Hill Chandler qualified as executor.
The last will and testament of George T. Broadwater was proved and ordered to be recorded.
The clerk made report to the court a list of all fines reported by Justices of the Peace during February.
The sheriff made report to the Judge the number of prisoners in jail, their offences, sentences, &c.
George T. Quinby, duly licensed to practice law in New York, qualified to practice in county court of Accomac.
Upon petition of John W. Bonniwell and others for a public road. Petition filed and viewers appointed.
Samuel J. Revell qualified as Notary Public for the county of Accomac.
Upon petition of Annie S. Kelly and another for a drain. Report of commissioners filed and confirmed, order entered for opening drain as reported and removal of cause from docket.
The last will and testament of John D. Parsons, deceased, was proved and letters of administration, with will annexed, were granted to John S. Parsons.
John S. Parsons qualified as guardian of William C., Harry E. and Winnie E. Parsons, orphans of John D. Parsons, deceased.
The last will and testament of John E. Harmon, deceased, was proved, and letters of administration, with will annexed, were granted to Lafayette N. Harmon and Frederick F. Harmon.
Nehemiah W. Nock qualified as guardian of Herbert J. and Maybell Singleton, orphans of John S. Singleton, deceased.
An authenticated copy of the last will and testament of Mary S. J. Scarburgh, admitted to probate in corporation court of city of Norfolk, was produced in court and ordered to be recorded.
The following fiduciary accounts were confirmed and ordered to be recorded: Audits of estates of Thomas W. Blackstone, John R. Melson, George W. Mason, Manton L. Byrd, Nancy J. Parks, Levin Parker, James G. Savage, George C. Phillips, John Atkinson and Eliza Mears; orphan accounts of Wilfred, Robert and Lena Hall, Evelyn M., Annie S. and Harold E. Crockett, John and Walter Beloate, Alice H., Walter D., Brandon B. and Pearle K. Killman; trust accounts of A. D. Doremus and John T. Edmonds and wife.
Exparte: Petition of O. H. Taylor and others for a public road. Report of commissioner filed and the object of cause having been accomplished, order entered for removal from docket.
Upon petition of Travis A. Crockett and others for a public road. Order entered that road be opened and established in accordance with viewers' report and John H. McCready was appointed a commissioner for the purpose.
Upon petition of Frank L. Hall and others for a public road. Report of viewers filed and order entered to summon proprietors and tenants to show cause, if any they can, against opening and establishing said road as proposed.
Upon petition of A. F. Mears and others to widen public road. Petition filed and viewers appointed.
