ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, July Term, 1901.

The sheriff made report to the Court the number of prisoners in jail, their offences, sentences &c.

Upon petition of James A. Bott and others for a public road. Report of viewers filed and order entered to summon proprietors and tenants to show cause, if any they can, why said road should not be opened as proposed.

The estate of C. A. Chambers, deceased, was committed to Lee B. Kellam, sheriff, to be administrated according to law.

Upon petition of L. O. Watson and others for a public road. Report of viewers filed and order entered to summon proprietors and tenants to show cause, if any they can, why said road should not be opened as proposed.

Upon petition of John E. Watson and others for a public road. Report of viewers filed and order entered to summon proprietors and tenants to show cause, if any they can, why said road should not be opened as proposed.

Letters of administration were granted to Alfred J. Gibbons on the estate of Clara V. Gibbons, deceased.

The last will and testament of Delila Russell, deceased, was proved and ordered to be recorded.

The last will and testament of Martha Wise, deceased, was proved and ordered to be recorded.

The clerk made report to the Court a list of the fines reported by the Justices of the Peace, and the same was examined by the Court and ordered to be filed.

The following fiduciary accounts were confirmed and ordered to be recorded: Audits of the estate of John W. Gillet, deceased; orphan accounts of Clarence E. Birch, Luther, T. William and Edward Belote; accounts of Harriet W. and Mary E. Wilkins and Daisey L. Downing, infant children; trust accounts of James T. Hurst and Benjamin F. Parks.

Upon petition of Albert F. Mears and others to widen public road. Report of viewers and exceptions thereto filed and continued until first day of next term.

Upon petition of L. H. Ames and others for a public road. Petition filed and viewers appointed.

Retail liquor license was granted to Louis W. Major at his house at Shilo Valley.

Upon petition of Frank L. Hall and others for a public road. Order entered that road be opened and established as a public road in accordance with viewers' report and that James F. Lankford be appointed a commissioner for that purpose.

Upon petition of William H. Hitchens and others for a public road. Report of viewers filed and order entered to summon proprietors and tenants to show cause, if any they can, why said road should not be opened as proposed.

Upon petition of George R. Justice and others for a public bridge and alteration of road. Order entered at June term of Court rescinded and substitute entered approving the building of bridge in said cause in accordance with the report of viewers and that Wm. K. Taylor, road machine manager, be appointed a commissioner for that purpose.
