ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, October Term, 1897.

Last will of Joshua A. Chapman, deceased, was proved and James W. Chapman qualified as executor.

Last will of William Outen, deceased, was proved.

James R. Hickman qualified as administrator of William Hickman, of Thomas, deceased.

Smith W. Ames qualified as guardian of Dorena, Gertrude, Lenny Taswell, Beatrice and Geo. W. Griffin, orphans of Lewis Griffin, deceased.

Accounts against Commonwealth in lunacy and criminal cases were allowed as follows: For Jos. C. Wescott, constable, $34.76; Thos. B. Gillespie, J.P., $3; jailer for board of lunatic, $10.25, for board of prisoners, $82.05.

The N.Y.P. & N.R.R. Co. vs. Arzilla F. Kelly (on appeal). Case settled and agreed dismissed.

Commonwealth vs. Arthur P. Kellam (on appeal). Continued by consent until 2d day of next term.

Ex parte: Petition of John Daisey &c's late guardian. Report of Thos. W. Russell, admr. and attorney, filed and order confirming same.

Petition of William H. Matthews and others, for a public road. Recertified to Board of Supervisors.

Trifanny Only vs. John W. Holland (on attachment for rent). Judgment for plaintiff and order of sale.

A. S. Matthews vs. Jos. A. Richardson (on distress warrant). Judgment for plaintiff. Petition filed by Susan A. Richardson, claiming property levied on. Evidence heard and case agreed dismissed without further order.

Certificate entered in favor of Jno. R. Rew for examination by Supreme Court of Appeals for license to practice law.

The following fiduciary accounts were confirmed: Orphan accounts of Wm. H. and Annie L. Harmon and Sarah Y. Anderson; audits of estates of John W. Grinnalds and Estelle F. Anderson; trust accounts of Edward Mason and Robert T. Lewis and wife.

Petition of J. D. Mears and others for a public road. Report of viewers (3) filed.

Order entered confirming repairs of Bullbegger bridge by Asa J. Taylor, road surveyor, and for the payment of expenses incurred out of road tax for 1897 in Atlantic district.

Petition of Thomas Shrieves and wife for a public road. Report of viewers filed and order to summon proprietors and tenants to show cause against same.

Application of E. J. Miles and others for a public road over Modestown branch. Order approving bridge and certifying same to Board of Supervisors.

Upon petition of Wm. M. Needles and others for a public road at Franklin City. Order entered appointing Edward Lang, commissioner, to open and build the road.

Upon petition of Sydney M. Hancock and others for a public road. Order to summon proprietors and tenants to show cause, if any they can, against opening of road.

Webb & Suttle vs. Parker Handy (on appeal). Continued by consent of parties until 2d day of next term.

Ex parte: Petition of Wm. James Mapp's late guardian. Order entered, authorizing the collection of a loan, payment of costs, re-loaning the money to be received or depositing the same in bank.

Ex parte: Petition of Sarah A. Milliner's admr. Affidavit filed and order for payment of costs and shares of William Samuel and Eva F. Bonnewell of the fund in bank.

Ex parte: Petition of Wm. H. Harmon's admr. Order for payment of 1897 taxes on funds in bank and certain advances by James E. W. Figgs, acting guardian of Wm. H. and Annie L. Harmon.

Petition of the Onawa Social Union for a public road. Report of viewers (4) filed and recommitted to viewers for further report.
