ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, June Term, 1892.

The last wills of Elijah Kelly, George Laws, Archibald Annis, Elizabeth Godwin and Elitha A. Byrd were proved and ordered recorded.

Joseph E. Brodwater qualified as administrator c.t.a. of Elijah Kelley, deceased; D. Frank White of A. Annis, deceased; and Samuel A. Godwin of Elitha A. Byrd, deceased.

The estates of John M. West and Elizabeth Johnson were committed to the hands of the sheriff for administration.

Following fiduciary accounts were confirmed: Audits of estates of Geo. Hargis, Wm. Bloom, Hannibal Fletcher, O. W. Godwin, Peter H. Davis, Edward T. Middleton, Geo. W. Hinman, Sally Chandler, Wm. S. Marshall and Catharine Harmon; trust accounts of Jesse K. Rew and wife, Andrew M. Drake and wife; orphan accounts of John E. Small, Willie and May Pettit, Edward and Wm. E. Melson, Howard and Edwin Caulk, Wm. J. and Clarence E. Burch.

Joseph E. Brodwater qualified as committee of the estate of Geo. Matthews, a lunatic in the Williamsburg Asylum.

Wm. Fox vs. Geo. G. Fox, guardian of Louis D. and Alonzo W. Heath. Order entered removing defendant from his office as guardian and for recovery by Wm. Fox of his costs.

Alfred S. Kellam qualified as guardian of Louis D. and Alonzo W. Heath.

Louisa E. Pitts, widow of Thos. G. Pitts, deceased, qualified as guardian of her children, Virginia C. and Annie F. Pitts.

Certificate to obtain license to catch fish to be manufactured into oil or manure and certificate also to manufacture oil or manure from fish were granted to Henry L. Crockett and Patrick H. Conorton, trading as Crockett & Conorton.

Bar room license was granted to Wm. T. Winder at Onancock, and Shield & Parker at Pungoteague.

Authority was granted to Jas. R. Hickman at Metompkin, to assign and transfer his bar room and retail liquor license to Robert L. Parks.

The report of the commissioners laying off the road precincts in Lee district was received, entered of record and filed for exceptions. If any.

Orders on county treasurer in road and bridge matters were entered as follows: Chas. P. Finney, James T. Hurst and John W. Kellam, $8 each; John W. Evans, $26; Parks & Melson, $11.04; Jno. W. Hurst, 32 cents; Thos. Drummond and Jno. W. White, $6.87; D. F. White & Bro., $4; G. B. Jones, $41.52; E. C. Jacobs, $12; James W. Broughton, $9.25; John M. Watson, $2; John W. Stevenson, $1; John D. Parsons, Jos. R. Riggs, and Wm. T. Parks, $2 each; Henry P. Mason, $53.30; John L. Warren, $40.

Upon application of Robert L. Bull for material to repair road. Report of commissioners was approved and referred to Board of Supervisors.

Upon petition of John W. Bowdoin and others for a public road. On the application of Jas. Parks of B., one of the proprietors of the land proposed to be taken for the road, commissioners were appointed to ascertain a just compensation for his land to be used for the said road.

Upon the petition of John E. Mapp and others for a public road, it was ordered, that the proprietors and tenants be able to show cause against the opening and establishing the road.

Upon petition of Henry T. White and others for a public road. The report of the viewers was received and filed.

Upon application of M. E. Godwin and others for a drain of their lands through the lands of Samuel Somers and others. Report of the commissioners received and filed.

Wm. H. Bloxom vs. Wm. Kilmon's admr. (scire facias). Judgment for plaintiff.

A special grand jury was empannelled and returned "as true bill," four for taking oysters feloniously, one for unlawfully occupying natural oyster rocks, one for entering storehouse with intent to commit larceny, one for feloniously causing bodily injury with intent to maim, one for shooting in streets of Onancock, one for carrying concealed weapons and assault and battery, one for unlawfully defacing line trees, one for felonious stabbing with intent to maim, one for assault and battery, one for forgery, one for attempt to commit petit larceny, two for selling liquor unlawfully, one for obstructing free passage over public highway, one for larceny of a horse and three for embezzlement -- and returned "not true bill:" one for murder, one for assault and battery, one for petit larceny and one for cutting down line trees.

The bid of Robert J. Parker, to build a bridge over Metcalf branch, was accepted by the court, his bond and contract accepted and work ordered to proceed.

Upon petition of Samuel R. Justis of E., and others for a public road. Petition filed and viewers appointed.

L. F. J. Wilson qualified as Notary Public for the county of Accomac.

Ex parte, Petition of Geo. Hargis' executor. Petition filed, order for payment of costs and deposit by executor of the balance of the share of Polly Watkinson in Marine Bank.

Missouri E. Selby vs. James T. Thornton and wife, (complaint of unlawful detainer). Verdict and judgment for plaintiff and writ of possession awarded.

The reports of the commissioners laying off road precincts in Atlantic, Metompkin and Pungoteague districts were confirmed and the surveyors of the roads so laid off duly appointed.

Order entered substituting James H. Fletcher, Jr., trustee in place of Abel T. Johnson, deceased, in deed from Major W. Pilchard and wife, for benefit of Wm. H. Rew.

Ex parte, Petition of Benjamin F. Young for a drain. Petition filed and commissioners appointed.

Ex parte; Petition of Carroll C. Kellam's guardian. Petition filed and referred to Commissioner Ross.

Commonwealth vs. schooner Elexina, (on an information). Report of sheriff filed, confirmed and cause removed from docket.

Ex parte: Petition of George W. Hinman's admr. Petition filed, order directing payment of costs and deposit in bank by administrator.
