ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, January Term, 1899.

The estate of Mary Shields, deceased, was committed to John H. Wise, sheriff, for administration.

The clerk reported to the court, as the law requires, a list of the fines reported to him by Justices of the Peace, during the month of December 1898.

Patrick W. Kilmon resigned as guardian of Mary, Pearl K., Branton B., Walter D., and Alice H. Kilmon orphans of John H. Kilmon, deceased.

L. Floyd Nock qualified as administrator of the estates of Edward C., Euphramia and John E. Charnock.

G. Walter Mapp qualified as administrator of the estate of Polly J. Turlington, deceased.

The last will of Mary Ann Fox, deceased, was proved and ordered to be recorded, and William D. Tunnell qualified as administrator with the will annexed.

The last will of Logan Henderson, deceased, was proved and ordered to be recorded.

Stewart K. Powell was appointed trustee in deed from Abel H. Wise and wife to John Wesley Hurst, trustee, for John Hurst (now deceased), John Wesley Hurst having declined the trust.

Accounts against the Commonwealth in criminal cases were allowed as follows: To Charles C. Dix, constable, $17.55; Samuel C. Melson, special constable, 50 cents, jailer, $34.40.

The sheriff reported the number of prisoners in jail, their offences, sentences, &c.

Order entered, authorizing Thomas A. Northam's executors to sell certain Maryland State Stock belonging to decedent's estate.

Order entered appointing Joshua T. Burton, a commissioner, to open and construct the public road from Nock's Branch to Melfa.

The following fiduciary accounts were confirmed: Audits of estates of William Hickman (of Thos.), George E. Hoag, and Phoebe E. Custis; Alfred Trader's trust account; Elijah P. Evans and wife's trust account; orphan accounts of Margaret S. Stevens, Stella V. and Blanche M. Bull, Brandon B., Walter D., Pearl K., Mary K. and Alice A. Kilmon.
