Charles R. Peters qualified as administrator of Benjamin F. Peters, deceased.
Joseph R. Riggs qualified as administrator of Margaret D. Parks, deceased.
Sylvester R. Belote qualified as committee of Margaret Sarah Belote
Robert L. Hopkins qualified as administrator of Edward W. Hopkins, deceased, and as guardian of Eva L. Hopkins.
John H. Ayres qualified as administrator of Elizabeth A. Ayres, deceased.
The estate of Charles R. Coard Sr., deceased, was committee to Lee B. Kellam, sheriff, for administration.
L. Floyd Nock resigned as guardian of Edwin and William Beloate.
Lucy Evans &c.'s guardian vs. Lucy Evans and others. Report of guardian filed, order confirming same and removal from docket.
The last wills and testaments of Sarah A. Lewis, James C. Mears and Robert George were admitted to probate.
An authenticated copy of the last will and testament of Sarah H. Bell, late of Philadelphia, was admitted to probate.
Upon petition of William T. Bradford and others for a public road. Order entered for payment of viewers.
The following fiduciary accounts were confirmed and ordered to be recorded: Audit of estate of John W. Hart; orphan accounts of Leone Kirk Hearn, Mary Burton Hearn, Ida R. Courtney, Tankard G. Stephens, James T. Stephens and John H. Stephens; trust accounts of George W. Nock and wife.
Ex parte: Petition of Wm. T. Marshall's admr. Report of L. Floyd Nock, attorney, filed, order confirming same and for deposit in bank.
Upon application of Sylvester H. Hope for a drain. Report of commissioners filed and order entered dismissing application.
Ex parte: Petition of Elizabeth Hickman's ex'or. Petition and exhibits filed and order entered for deposit in bank &c.
Ex parte: Petition of Edward Beloate et als' late guardian. Petition and exhibits filed and order for payment of costs and deposit in bank.
Ex parte: Petition of Isaac G. Coffin's late executor. Report of L. Floyd Nock, attorney, filed and order confirming same.
Ex parte: Petition of Lloyd T. Bowden & c.'s late guardian. Report of guardian filed, order confirming same and for deposit in bank.
Ex parte: Petition of Judson R. Collins' late guardian. Report of guardian filed and order confirming same.
Ex parte: Petition of Annie R. Lewis &c.'s late guardian. Report of guardian filed and order confirming same.
Upon petition of James A. Bott and others for a public road. Report of commissioner filed and order referring same to Board of Supervisors.
Upon petition of James Carroll Evans and others for a public road. Order for payment of viewers.
A regular grand jury was empannelled and returned as true bills the following indictments: One for grand larceny; one for entering dwelling house with intent to commit larceny; two for lascivious cohabitation; one for removing a monument designating a boundary; one for beating and wounding with intent to main, &c; two for opening bar-room and selling liquor on Sunday; one for assault and battery.
Upon petition of Isabella and Daniel Jones's guardian. Report of L. Floyd Nock, guardian, filed and order confirming same.
Ex parte: Petition of Malinda W. Smith's ex'or. Order for withdrawal of Willie Parker's share from bank, payment of cost, &c.
Ex parte: Petition of Wm. G. Thornton's admr., c.t.a. Affidavit of Frank G. Tull filed and order entered for withdrawal of fund in bank on deposit.
The last Official acts of the retiring Judge were the following:
Mr. William Walsh, of this county, having had the portraits of the late Benjamin T. Gunter, a distinguished Judge of the Circuit Court of this county, and of the late Montcalm Oldham Jr., the efficient clerk of the court, made and placed in the court house at his own expenses; the Court, appreciating the spirit actuating Mr. Walsh in thus perpetuating the memory of these departed faithful officials, doth order this acknowledgment spread upon the records of this court and a copy certified to Mr. Walsh, attested by the Judge and Clerk of the said court.
Before entering the order adjourning this court out of existence, the presiding Judge takes occasion, to spread on its record his sincere acknowledgement and appreciation of the uniform respect and courtesy he has received at the hands of the members of the Bar and officers of the Court during the entire time he has presided over its deliberations.
