ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, April Term, 1891.

Circuit court was in session from 7th to 18th of April inclusive. Sixty two decrees were entered, which will be reported in later issue of this paper. The following common law matters received the attention of the court.

Trustees were appointed for Onancock Baptist Church and Deas Chapel at Wattsville.

A writ of error was awarded John U. Mason, who was convicted in the county court on 1st day of April, for selling liquor unlawfully, which will probably be argued before Judge Gunter in vacation.

The case of Horace P. Nock vs. John D. Johnson (action of retinue to recover a horse), was decided in favor of the plaintiff, and horse surrendered to him.

In the suit for slander of Esther G. Wharton, colored, vs. Rev. Levi Duncan, colored, the jury failed to agree and same was continued for trial at next term of court.

The suit for trespass of Ella N. Collins vs. Wm. T. Tull, &c., involving the question of the right to take dirt, &c., from 2 acres near mill at Wagram, under will of John U. Dennis, was decided in favor of Tull.

The suit of Stanley J. Lewis vs. Dr. Wm. H. Coard, for materials furnished for building Amiss Chapel, resulted in a verdict for plaintiff.
