ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, October Term, 1902.

Henry E. Byrd qualified as notary public for county of Accomac.

The last will and testament of Noah E. Miles, deceased, was proved and ordered to be recorded.

The Sheriff made report to the Court the number of prisoners in jail, their offences, sentences, &c.

John H. Miles qualified as administrator of William H. Miles, deceased.

An inquest by S. B. Dennis, J.P., acting coroner, over the dead body of William Reed, was returned to court and ordered to be filed.

Retail liquor license was granted to William T. Mears at his house at Foxville.

On petition of Osborne F. Mears and others for a public road. Cause dismissed on motion of petitioners.

The last will and testament of William Groton, deceased, was proved and ordered to be recorded.

Whittington W. Trader qualified as guardian of Olivia A. Northam, orphan of Custis W. Northam, deceased.

The following fiduciary accounts were confirmed and ordered to be recorded: Audits of estates of Samuel H. Tarr, Benjamin S. Rich, Thomas Pettit, Geo. C. Phillips, A. Frank Byrd, Alfred W. Finney and Major J. Parker; orphan accounts of Emma Ruth Oldham, Henry Olive Rue, Susie E. and Hall K. Drummond.

Ex parte: Petition of L. Floyd Nock and Mary Kellam for a public road. Viewers appointed.

The Commonwealth vs. Thomas Lane, on indictment for felony. Convicted of an assault and sentenced to thirty days in county jail and to pay a fine of five dollars.
