ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

February Term, 1887.

Commonwealth vs. Wm. Phillips (on indictment for selling intoxication liquors in Metompkin district.) Verdict of guilty and fine assessed by jury at $100, to which the Court added additional punishment of one month's imprisonment in the county jail.

Ex parte: Petition of R. Ellison Rue's admr. Order authorizing Jos. S. Bull, guardian of Henry O. Rue to withdraw from Marine bank the money therein deposited to the credit of this cause.

Order entered directing the heirs of Elijah Hinman, deceased, to be summoned to show cause why a ditch should not be cut through their lands to Old Mill branch, upon petition of T. H. B. Corbin, surveyor of road.

Petition of Andrew J. Kellam, surveyor of road to rebuild Kellam's bridge, was filed and the expenditures amounting to $50.14 deemed necessary was certified to the Board of Supervisors for its approval.

Order entered directing L. Floyd Nock, surveyor of road to rebuild the bridge in the village of Drummondtown, near the residence of Alfred J. Lilliston.

A petition was filed by H. T. Mason and others to improve the public road at Leemont, and commissioners were appointed.

A petition was filed by John T. Powell and others for a public road and viewers were appointed.

The N.Y.P. & N.R.R. Co., vs. George C. Phillips, (on an appeal.) The judgment of the Justice of the Peace in favor of Phillips vs. R.R. Co., for $25, the value of his cow killed by the company was affirmed.

Edward E. Dennis was exempted from road duty because of continued physical disability.

Petition was filed by Andrew G. Finney and others for improving the public road from Pungoteague to Mappsburg station and commissioners were appointed to view and make report &c.

Petition was filed by Henry C. Walker for a public road and viewers were appointed.

Jno, F. Lingo &c., guardian vs. Jno. F. Lingo et als (on a petition). Petition filed and cause referred to master commissioner.

Grace E. and Harry A. Hopkins' guardian vs. Grace E. and H. A. Hopkins, (on a petition). Petition filed and cause referred to master commissioner.

Upon petition of S. F. Rogers and others for public bridge at Leatherbury's branch. Order directing commissioner to make additional report.

Upon petition of Benj. W. Mears and others for a public road. surveyor directed to complete the work and to expend $20 additional in so doing.

Thos. B. Smith vs. Henry T. Powell et al. (on appeal.) Judgment of justice in favor of Powell et als., affirmed.

Petition filed by attorney for the Commonwealth for forfeiture of vessel "Stephen H. Wilson" her tackle, appurtenances and cargo for unlawful dredging and order directing Richard Corbitt, the master and owner to be summoned to show cause against.

Petition filed by attorney for the Commonwealth for forfeiture of schooner Daisey, her tackle and appurtenances for unlawful oystering and notice to the unknown owner or owners, directed to be given by publication.

Francis Bull vs. James H. Bagwell and James F. Hope, (on F. C. bond.) -- Judgment for plaintiff, and execution awarded.

Order entered directing the clerk and receiver to pay to Oswald White and others their railroad damages allowed for their lands.
