ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, August Term, 1892.

Following fiduciary accounts confirmed and ordered to be recorded: Henry Nock and wife's trust account; Audits of estates of Margaret S. Mears, Julia A. Hinman and James H. Bull; Orphan accounts of Susan A. and Marion Hall, Richard D., Tankard G. and Carroll C. Kellam, Asa T. Taylor, John W., Bessie S. and Clyde W. Kelly, and S. U. Hopkins.

Last wills of Henrietta Bloxom and Annie M. Smith were proved and ordered to be recorded.

John T. B. Hyslop qualified as administrator of John W. Hyslop, deceased, and Fred O. Boone as administrator of George Ames of Letty, deceased.

List of grand jurors selected by the judge for the ensuing year.

Certificate was granted to L. D. Teackle Quinby to obtain license to practice law.

The inspectors of jail made report which was duly entered, with direction by the court that the clerk certify a copy thereof to the circuit court.

Certificate of the clerk of the county court of the examination by him of the books of the commissioner of revenue of the present year was received and recorded.

Harry Belote and Henry Brown, prisoners confined in jail, were discharged therefrom without payment of costs, they being unable to pay same.

The report of the commissioners, laying off the district of the Islands into road precinct were confirmed and Elijah Russell was appointed surveyor of precincts No. 1, and Joshua B. Hudson of precinct No. 2.

John W. Crockett vs. Spencer L. Kellam (on attachment for rent). Attachment returned to court by constable and placed on the docket.

Oliver Baker vs. Theodore Laws (on attachment for rent) Attachment returned to court, placed on docket and afterwards dismissed on motion of plaintiff with judgment for defendant's costs.

Barroom and retail liquor license was granted to W. S. Waterman at Bloxom station.

E. T. Powell, county treasurer, executed bond required by law to receive and disburse the direct tax money.

Upon petition of McComas Justice &c., for a drain. The rules against the commissioners were discharged on motion of the petitioners.

Upon petition of W. W. Trader and others to change public road. Report of viewers filed, confirmed in part and surveyor directed to make change &c.

Upon petition of Thomas G. Clayton and other for a public landing at the head of Young's Creek. Report of viewers returned and order to summon proprietors and tenants.

Petition of Samuel R. Justice of B., and others, for a public road. Viewers filed their report.

Nettie Mears appellant vs. Gordon B. Jones, appellee, (on appeal). Judgment below affirmed and for appellee's costs.

Commonwealth vs. Bateau, name unknown, said to belong to John T. Sterling, (on information for being employed in taking oysters feloniously). Charge tried, found to be true, bateau condemned as forfeited and judgment against the claimant and his security for the appraised value.

Nathaniel Belote resigned as guardian of Harry Thompson, Mary Eliza and Wm. Bagwell Mears, orphans of Wm. H. P. Mears, deceased, and John S. Waples qualified as their guardian.

Benjamin F. Parks was appointed surveyor of road precinct No. 1 of Metompkin district in place of Isaiah Moore, who was permitted to resign on account of sickness.

Order on county treasurer in road and bridge matters were entered as follows: For John W. Stevenson and John N. Watson, $1 each; W. T. Parks, $4; F. B. Humphreys, John T. White, D. H. Johnson, Jas. T. Hurst and Edward C. Parks, $2 each; E. T. Coleburn, $5.50; Mrs. Lottie Garrison, $7; Wesley Bull, $6; W. J. Ayres, $2; S. T. Ross, $5; Jas P. Daugherty, $6; H. P. Nock, $6.50; L. J. Gunter, assignee of J. W. Fitchett, $14.50.

Inquest over Elijah T. Gladding, deceased, was returned and filed.
