Whereas, in the circuit court for the county of Accomac, on the thirteenth day of April, nineteen hundred and eleven, in re the Commonwealth versus Edward A. George, and in the said court on the fourteenth day of April, nineteen hundred and eleven, in re the Commonwealth versus John R. Middleton, the said Edward A. George and John R. Middleton were found guilty of unlawful dredging, and were fined each the sum of one hundred dollars, which fines should have been paid to the commission of fisheries, to be placed to the credit of the oyster fund; and,

Whereas, the said fines were by the clerk of said court improperly paid to the auditor of public accounts of Virginia, and by him placed to the credit of the literary fund of the State; now, therefore,

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the auditor of public accounts be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to draw his warrant on the treasurer of Virginia, in favor of the commission of fisheries, for the sum of two hundred dollars; and that the treasurer of Virginia is hereby ordered and directed to honor said warrant for said amount.

The commission of fisheries is hereby directed to apply and dispose of the said sum of two hundred dollars according to the statutes in such cases made and provided.

CHAP. 235.--An ACT to authorize and require the auditor of public accounts to pay to the commission of fisheries the fines of $100.00 each imposed by the circuit court for the county of Accomac upon Edward A. George and John R. Middleton, which were improperly paid over to the said auditor and by him carried into the literary fund.
