CHAP. 151.--An ACT to allow William P. Birch and Isaac J. Melvin,each to erect a wharf along their shores on Chincoteague island.

Approved February 18, 1886.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
William P. Birch and Isaac J. Melvin, of the county of Accomack, be and they are hereby each authorized to erect a wharf, in front of their shores in said county, on Chincoteague bay, for shipping oysters, and so forth, extending thirty feet from low-water mark into Chincoteague bay, and one hundred feet in width. Said William P. Birch and Isaac J. Melvin, their heirs or assigns, shall have the right to charge such compensation for the use of said wharves as may be agreed upon, or is usual: provided that the said wharves shall not interfere with navigation, and provided, also, that this act shall at all times be under the control of the general assembly. Location. Charges.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage. Commencem't.
