CHAP. 103.--An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of the county of Accomac to increase the district school levies in said county, and to provide for the collection and expenditure of funds provided by such levies.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the board of supervisors of the county of Accomac be, and it is, hereby, authorized and empowered to raise sums of money, to pay existing indebtedness, and to provide for future growth and expansion, of the public free schools, in said county, by levying a district school tax on all property, subject to local taxation, in any one or more of the several school districts of said county, of not to exceed one dollar and fifty cents on each one hundred dollars of the assessed value of such property.

Such levies shall be extended, by the commissioner of the revenue of said county, collected by the county treasurer, and expended by the school board of said county for the purposes herein mentioned, and accounted for as is provided by law.

An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
