CHAP. 76.--An ACT to extend the time for the completion of the New York, Philadelphia and Norfolk Railroad.

Approved February 7,1884.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the New York, Philadelphia and Norfolk Railroad Company shall have a further period of two years from the date of the passage of this act for the completion of its line of railroad
from a point on the Maryland state line to a point near Cherrystone inlet, in Northampton county: provided, first, that one-half of the said railroad shall be completed by the expiration of one year from the date of the passage of this act, or this act shall be void and of no effect.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
