CHAP. 6.--An ACT to authorize the council of the town of Parksley in the county of Accomac to levy a capitation tax for school purposes.

Approved February 5, 1924.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the council of the town of Parksley in the county of Accomac, be, and it is hereby, authorized and empowered to levy an additional capitation tax, not exceeding one dollar per annum, on every resident of the said town not less than twenty-one years of age, except those pensioned by this State for military services, the proceeds of which shall be used in aid of the public free schools in said town and to pay the interest on bond issues for school purposes.

2. The council may make effective provision for collecting the capitation tax levied under authority of this act.

3. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
